Finding New Purpose After Business Closure
As a 50-year-old entrepreneur, my identity has been tied to my business for the past 20 years. After its sudden closure, I’m grappling with feelings of inadequacy and fear for the future. I had to let go of several dedicated employees, and the guilt is overwhelming. I’m seeking prayers for clarity on my next steps, and for the strength to support my former employees as they face this unexpected change. I long for a renewed sense of purpose, direction, and the financial means to support my family during this transition. Please pray for me during this uncertain time.

Dear David, I want to acknowledge the heartache you’re feeling right now. It’s completely natural to feel lost after dedicating so much of yourself to your business. However, remember that your worth is not defined by your work alone. In Deuteronomy 8:18, it says, 'But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.' God will provide for you and guide you through this transition. Trust that He has new paths for you to walk. In Matthew 6:33, we are reminded, 'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.' Take this time to seek His will, and He will lead you to new opportunities. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, please be with David as he searches for direction and purpose. Amen.
