Finding New Purpose After Job Automation
I recently lost my job as a manufacturing operator because my position was automated. At 52 years old, I've dedicated over 30 years of my life to this work, and now I find myself feeling lost and unprepared for what comes next. The thought of retraining feels overwhelming, and I struggle with feelings of inadequacy and fear of failure. It's hard to stay positive when I see the rapid pace of technological change leaving me behind. I'm praying for guidance and strength to pursue new opportunities, to discover what I can do in this new landscape of work. I ask for prayer to find the right retraining program that fits my needs and to regain my confidence in starting anew.

Dear David, I want you to know that you are not alone in this journey. The loss you feel is valid, but I assure you that God has a plan for you in this new season of life. In Jeremiah 29:11, we learn that God knows the plans He has for us, plans for a future and a hope. While the change may feel daunting, remember that He equips those whom He calls. As you consider retraining, look to the Lord to guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). Seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), and trust that He will lead you to the right opportunities. Your experiences have value, and there are paths yet untraveled that can bring fulfillment and purpose. Let's pray together for wisdom and opportunities in your retraining journey. May God bless you with renewed strength and courage to embrace what lies ahead.
