Finding Peace After a Terminal Diagnosis
My name is Sarah, and I’m a 32-year-old mother of two. Recently, I’ve been given a terminal diagnosis, and honestly, it feels like my world is crashing down. I’ve been trying to process this news, balancing my fear and the need to remain strong for my children. Every day is a struggle, and I often find myself questioning the purpose of it all. I want to be at peace with what’s happening and to find meaning in the time I have left. I am asking for prayers—for healing, yes, but more importantly, for peace in my heart and to understand how best to guide my children through this journey with me.

Dear Sarah, I want you to know that you are not alone in this journey. It is utterly understandable to feel overwhelmed with the weight of such news. In these moments, remember that God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18). He sees your pain and longs to give you His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Also, in 3 John 1:2, we are reminded that God desires for us to be in good health and to prosper, even as our soul prospers. As you navigate this challenging chapter of your life, lean into God’s embrace. Talk to Him as a friend, and let Him comfort you as you work through these deep emotions. My prayer for you is that you find both peace and purpose in this time, and that God guides you in how to best share your love and wisdom with your children. May His grace cover you abundantly.
