Finding Peace After Leaving a Religious Cult
Heavenly Father, I come to You feeling lost after my family and I have decided to leave a religious cult that has controlled our lives for so long. The fear of judgment and isolation is overwhelming, and I worry about the impact on my children. I want them to know Your true love, but I am concerned about how we will survive this transition. Please give us the wisdom to rebuild our faith and trust in You, and help us to let go of the lies we’ve been taught. I ask for Your protection over our family, as we face rejection from those we once called friends. May we find comfort in Your promises and build a new life filled with Your truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Mark, thank you for sharing your painful journey with us. Leaving a controlling group is never easy, and it's understandable to feel lost and scared. As you navigate this transition, remember that God is with you. Joshua 1:9 tells us, 'Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.' Your family is not alone in this journey; God promises to be by your side. As you work to redefine your faith, cling to the assurance found in Jeremiah 29:11, where He declares, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' Embrace this new chapter with hope, knowing that God is guiding you toward a future filled with His love and truth. Let's pray: Lord, we lift Mark and his family to You, asking for strength and comfort as they transition to a life rooted in Your truth. Amen.
