Finding Peace Amidst Family Tensions
Since I came out, my relationship with my family has become strained. They love me, but they struggle with my identity, and I often feel like I’m living in two worlds. There are days when I feel distant from God because of this tension, and I fear losing my family’s love. I’m trying to hold onto my faith, but the conflict weighs heavily on me. I pray for healing in our relationships and for the strength to keep loving them, even when it’s hard. Please pray for peace in our family and for acceptance of who I truly am.

Dear Lucas, thank you for being vulnerable in sharing your struggles with family tensions. It’s clear that your love for your family is genuine and deep, and God sees that. In Isaiah 40:31, we are reminded that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. This waiting can be hard, especially when relationships feel strained, but know that God is at work in their hearts as well as yours. As you seek to maintain love amidst differences, remember Romans 12:18: 'If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.' Your commitment to love your family is a reflection of Christ's love for us. Pray for healing and the ability to communicate your truth in love. I am praying alongside you for God's peace to envelop your situation. Amen.
