Finding Peace for My Hostile Adult Child
Heavenly Father, I am desperately seeking Your help for my adult child, who has turned away from their faith and now expresses hostility towards it. It feels like a part of me is missing when I see them struggling with resentment and anger. I wish I could help them see Your love and grace, but every attempt seems met with defiance. Lord, I ask for Your wisdom and guidance in how to approach this situation. Please soften their heart and lead them back to the path of faith. I long to see them free from the burdens of hostility and filled with Your peace again. Amen.

Dear John, thank you for sharing your heart so openly. It’s clear how much you care for your child, and your desire for their well-being is evident. As you navigate this painful journey, remember the promise found in Romans 6:23 about the gift of eternal life. God loves your child and desires for them to return to Him. Keep praying and trusting that the Holy Spirit can work in ways we cannot see. As you reflect God’s love and grace, you may find opportunities to speak into their life gently and lovingly. I encourage you to lean on fellow believers for support during this time. Let’s pray together for your child. Lord, I ask that You break through the barriers of hostility in John’s child’s heart and bring them back into Your loving embrace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
