Finding Peace in a Childless Marriage
Dear Lord, I come to You with a heavy heart. My husband and I have struggled with the desire to have children for years, but it seems our journey has taken a different path. Some days, the pain of not having biological children feels overwhelming, and I worry about my purpose as a mother. I see friends starting their families, and I can’t help but feel left out. I pray for acceptance and peace in our marriage. Help us to find ways to be a family and share our love in other ways, whether through adoption or mentoring children in need. Please give me clarity and assurance that our love can still flourish without children of our own. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Dear Maya, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It is evident that you are carrying a heavy burden, but remember that God sees your pain. The Lord has a plan for your life that may differ from your expectations. In Genesis 2:24, it is written, 'Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.' Your unity with your husband is a beautiful testament to God’s design for marriage, which transcends biological parenthood. Psalm 127:3 tells us, 'Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.' While biological children are a blessing, there are many ways to nurture and guide young lives. As you seek acceptance, remember Romans 12:10, 'Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.' Let your love shine in areas that God may be leading you towards. May God's peace fill your heart as you embrace the unique path he has set before you. Let us pray: Lord, grant Maya and her husband comfort and wisdom in their journey. May they find joy in their union and seek ways to serve others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
