Finding Peace in Memories After Loss
I am heartbroken after losing my closest friend to cancer. We shared so many beautiful moments, and now I feel an overwhelming void. I often find myself thinking about her smile and the times we spent in prayer together. It’s hard to accept that she is no longer here physically, but I want to hold onto the faith that she instilled in me. I ask for prayers that I can find peace in my memories and that I will be able to celebrate her life instead of just mourning her absence.

Dear Michael, your sorrow is understandable and your desire to hold onto your friend’s memory is commendable. Remember that God understands our grief and is with us in our pain. In John 11:25, Jesus tells us, 'I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.' Your friend is alive in Christ, and you will see her again. Embrace the memories you have; they are gifts that you can treasure forever. As you reflect on your friendship, let the knowledge of your shared faith bring you comfort. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, grant Michael the peace that surpasses all understanding as he navigates through this valley of loss. Amen.
