Finding Purpose After a Job Loss
Hello Pastor Angela, I’m feeling utterly lost after being laid off from my job. It was my passion, and I poured my heart into it. Now I feel aimless and uncertain about what to do next. I’ve applied to multiple positions, but nothing seems to pan out. I’m worried that this job loss reflects negatively on me and my abilities. I’m asking for prayer to help me find my purpose again, to trust God in this uncertain period, and to have the courage to face the future.

Dear David, your feelings of loss and uncertainty are completely valid, and I want to encourage you during this challenging time. It’s often through moments of transition that God reveals new paths we hadn’t considered before. Remember what is declared in Romans 8:28: 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' Even though it may not seem like it now, God is using this experience to shape and prepare you for what He has in store for you. I encourage you to take this time to seek His guidance and to explore your gifts and passions. Psalm 37:4 reminds us to 'Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.' Pray for clarity and direction, and trust that He is working behind the scenes. I will keep you in my prayers that you will find renewed purpose and strength during this time of uncertainty.
