Finding Purpose After Health Loss
My name is Linda, I'm a 52-year-old woman who has recently experienced a significant decline in my health due to a chronic condition. I used to find so much joy in volunteering and helping others, but now I feel confined by my limitations. I grieve not only the joy of service but also the sense of purpose that came with it. I feel like I’ve lost a vital piece of my identity. I ask for prayers for healing but also for clarity on how I can still contribute to the world in my current state. I want to feel valuable again.

Dear Linda, thank you for your heartfelt message. It’s often in our times of struggle that we question our value and purpose. Your feelings are completely valid, and God knows the depths of your heart. In Psalm 147:3, we are reminded that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. You may feel limited now, but it's essential to recognize that your worth is not defined by what you can do physically. God has a purpose for you that transcends your current circumstances. In Lamentations 3:32, we learn that God is compassionate even in our suffering. Allow Him to show you new ways to serve and love others, even from where you are. I will be praying for renewed strength and vision for your life, and that you may discover ways to share your heart and wisdom. Lord, uplift Linda and help her find clarity in her new journey, reminding her of her endless value in Your eyes. Amen.
