Finding Purpose in a Terminal Diagnosis
My name is John, a 58-year-old man diagnosed with a terminal illness. The news hit me like a ton of bricks, and now I’m grappling with my mortality. I feel lost and confused, wondering how to spend the time I have left meaningfully. I ask for prayers that I may find purpose in my final days, perhaps through sharing my journey or encouraging others in their faith. It’s hard not to focus on the fear of what lies ahead, but I wish to embrace hope instead. I hope to leave behind a legacy of faith and love.

Dear John, thank you for sharing your heart with us. I can only imagine the weight of your diagnosis and the thoughts that occupy your mind. In Jeremiah 30:17, God assures us, 'For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.' Your life has great significance, even in a season of struggle. God calls us to remain faithful and to find purpose in every moment. In 3 John 1:2, we read, 'Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.' Let’s pray for clarity and peace as you embrace this stage of your journey. Lord, help John find purpose and strength in You. Amen.
