Finding Strength Amidst My Partner's Drug Abuse
My name is Andrew, and I am writing this with a heavy heart. My partner has been using drugs, and it has turned our home into a battleground. I am terrified for our two children, and I feel utterly helpless watching someone I love spiral downwards. I’ve tried to reach out to them, but my words seem to fall on deaf ears. Our family feels fractured and I keep asking God for a miracle. I want to believe that healing is possible, but the fight seems so daunting. Please pray for my partner to find the strength to seek help, and for me to have the wisdom to guide our family through this storm.

Dear Andrew, I commend you for your courage in reaching out for help during such a difficult time. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed; addiction affects not just the individual but the entire family. Yet, remember that God is always present in our suffering. ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit’ (Psalms 34:18). Your partner needs your support, but most importantly, he needs God’s intervention. Seeking professional help is crucial, and together, with prayer and faith, your family can find healing. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’ (Jeremiah 29:11). Let’s pray: Lord, I ask that You provide Andrew and his family with the strength they need, and may his partner find the courage to seek help and healing. Amen.
