Finding Strength in Fasting Amidst Life’s Chaos
As a busy single mother of two young kids, I feel my spiritual life has been put on the back burner. I desire to develop a fasting discipline to reconnect with God but often get overwhelmed by my responsibilities. There are days when I wake up with the intention to fast, but then life happens – the kids need breakfast, school drop-offs, and everything else that comes with parenting. I long for a routine that allows me to incorporate fasting without feeling guilty about neglecting my family duties. I am asking for prayers that God will give me the wisdom to balance my responsibilities and my spiritual growth through fasting.
