Finding Strength in Our Parents' Separation
I’m Michael, and I’m writing to ask for prayer as I deal with my parents’ recent divorce. I am a 28-year-old man, and honestly, I never thought I would have to face this situation—especially at this stage of my life. Growing up, I always believed my parents would be together forever. Their separation has rocked my foundation, and I am feeling lost and alone. I fear what this means for our family dynamics and struggle with resentment for how they are handling things. I find it hard to communicate with them, and I worry about how this will impact my relationship with them moving forward. I need clarity and strength as I try to process everything. Please pray that God will help me find peace in this chaos and guide my parents toward healing as well.

Dear Michael, I want to commend you for reaching out and sharing your heart during this tumultuous time. It's not easy to face the reality of one’s parents separating, especially when it challenges everything you grew up believing. The feelings you're experiencing are valid, and God sees your pain. ‘Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you’ (1 Peter 5:7) is an important reminder that you can hand over your worries to God. Even when it seems everything is in disarray, know that God works in all situations for good. ‘And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God’ (Romans 8:28). I encourage you to take time in prayer, seeking understanding and strength. Don’t hesitate to reach out to trusted friends or mentors who can walk alongside you. God can heal your spirit and restore your family. We will pray together for peace and strength for you and your parents in this difficult season.
