Grandparent's Prayer for Their Health After Surgery
As a grandparent in my early 70s, I recently underwent a routine surgery that has led to unexpected complications. I find myself dealing with pain and fatigue that I didn’t anticipate. It’s difficult to keep my spirits up when I feel this way, and I fear the impact this may have on my ability to care for my grandchildren. I want to be a strong presence in their lives, and I ask for prayers for my healing and peace of mind. I trust that God has a plan for me, but it’s hard to see it through the current fog of pain. Please pray that I may find relief and the strength to continue being the grandparent they need.

Dear Henry, thank you for reaching out and sharing your heart with us. It’s natural to feel concerned when our health begins to falter, especially when we desire to be there for our loved ones. God cherishes you and has not forgotten your needs. In 3 John 1:2, we are reminded that God wishes for us to prosper in health. Keep that promise close to your heart. Know that healing can come in various forms and often takes time. In Psalm 147:3, it says, 'He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.' May you feel His presence comforting you during this time. I encourage you to lean on your faith and your family for support.
