Grateful for Our Safety After the Tornado
Dear friends, I’m writing today with a heart full of gratitude for God’s protection. My family and I were in our home when the tornado struck our neighborhood. It was terrifying, but by God’s grace, we emerged unharmed while our neighbors lost everything. Every moment of fear was met with a sense of divine presence that calmed our hearts. We are so thankful to be safe, yet we feel deep sorrow for our neighbors who are struggling to pick up the pieces. Please pray for us as we navigate the aftermath and for our neighbors who need support and comfort during this difficult time.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heartfelt testimony of God’s protection in the face of such a frightening experience. It’s a reminder that our Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). Your gratitude is a beautiful reflection of Colossians 3:17, where we are encouraged to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. While your family celebrates your safety, let us also come together to support your neighbors during this painful time. As you love them and assist them, remember that the Lord blesses those who show compassion (Psalm 103:1). Pray for peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as your community heals together. Let us lift our voices in thanksgiving for your family’s safety, and may we find ways to help those affected. Blessings to you and your family! I will keep you all in my prayers.
