Haunted by Doubts of My Faith and Worthiness
My name is Angela, and I am reaching out because I feel an overwhelming sense of anxiety and fear that I can't seem to shake. I have been wrestling with obsessive thoughts about my faith. I constantly question whether I am truly saved, and my mind races with worries about every little sin I might have committed. It feels like a heavy weight on my chest, and I struggle to find peace in my walk with Christ. I feel so unworthy and guilty, which only fuels my doubts. I desperately want to feel assured of God’s love and grace, but these thoughts keep me up at night. I am asking for prayer that I might find clarity, peace, and the assurance of my salvation, and that God would quiet my anxious heart.

Dear Angela, thank you for sharing your heart so openly. It takes great courage to speak about struggles that weigh so heavily on us. I want to remind you that you are not alone; many believers face similar battles. Scripture assures us in Philippians 4:6 that we should not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. The Lord knows your heart and your desire for assurance. Remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). As you navigate these deep waters of doubt, hold fast to the truth of Romans 8:15, which tells us that you have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, 'Abba, Father.' Lean into that truth and give your worries to the Lord. I will be praying for God's peace to envelop you and for your heart to rest in His promises. May you feel His presence and assurance daily. Amen.
