Healing Family Divisions While Caring for Aging Parents
With our parents aging, my siblings and I are finding it incredibly difficult to agree on their care. Each person has a different idea of what is best, and it’s causing rifts that are painful to witness. I love my family, but I feel overwhelmed by the pressure and the conflicting views. I pray for healing in our family and that we can come together to support our parents in a way that honors their wishes and well-being. Please pray for open hearts and minds among my siblings and for God to guide us as we find a path forward without resentment or anger.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heart with me. Caring for aging parents can sometimes bring out strong emotions and differing opinions, which can strain relationships. I want you to know that you are not alone in this journey. As it says in Proverbs 31:10, a virtuous woman takes great care in her family matters, and I encourage you to lead with love and compassion. Pray for wisdom and direction as you communicate with your siblings, and allow God to bless those conversations. Remember that healing is possible through forgiveness and understanding, as highlighted in Colossians 3:13. I will be praying for your family to find unity and strength during this difficult time.
