Healing from Emotional Baggage Before Remarriage
As I prepare for my second wedding, I find myself facing emotional baggage that feels overwhelming. I’m a 29-year-old woman whose first marriage ended due to infidelity, and despite being excited to marry again, I feel the weight of unresolved feelings. The fear of being hurt again keeps creeping into my thoughts. I am seeking prayers for healing, wisdom, and courage to share my feelings with my fiancé. Dear Jessica, thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your willingness to confront your fears shows strength and a commitment to your future marriage. It's vital to allow God to heal your heart so you can enter this new relationship with an open spirit. In Malachi 2:16, God reminds us of His love for marriage: ‘For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that He hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.’ Be assured that God desires for you to have a pure and loving relationship, free from the shadows of your past. Communication with your fiancé will be key; share your concerns and allow him to support you. Remember that 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, 'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' With God’s help, you can move forward with assurance. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we ask for Your healing touch on Jessica as she prepares for her upcoming marriage. Help her to find peace in her heart and to share her fears openly.
