Healing from Fear of Letting Others In
Hi, I’m Jasmine. I’ve been feeling lost and anxious due to my fear of abandonment which stems from my childhood. My parents’ separation left a mark on me, and since then, I’ve built walls around my heart to avoid getting hurt. I desperately want to let people in and form connections, but I freeze when I think about how someone might leave me. This constant fear is exhausting, and I often find myself feeling isolated and sad. I pray for healing and the ability to trust others again. I want to speak my heart without fear of the outcome. Please pray with me that I can find the courage to open up and that God sends people who will love me unconditionally.

Dear Jasmine, thank you for your honest and heartfelt request. It is understandable to feel the way you do, given the experiences you’ve had. Remember, God desires to heal your heart and mend those broken places within you. Philippians 4:6 encourages us not to be anxious but to present our requests to God. He is gentle and compassionate, ready to help you through this process of healing. As you navigate opening your heart, remember the promise found in 1 John 4:18, 'There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.' Surround yourself with God’s love and allow it to flow through your relationships. Trust that He will guide you to those who will reflect His love back to you. I will be praying for you to find strength in vulnerability and embrace the love that God has in store for you. He is with you, always.
