Healing from Flashbacks: A Spouse’s Plea
Dear friends, I come to you seeking prayer for my husband, a brave soldier who has recently returned from deployment. He has been struggling with PTSD, and his flashbacks are tearing at the fabric of our family. I watch him relive the horrors he faced, and it breaks my heart knowing he fights battles even when he’s home. Our children are confused and scared when they see their father in distress. I feel helpless at times, trying to support him while managing our household. I ask for prayer that he finds peace and healing. I long for the days when we can enjoy simple moments together without the shadows of his trauma. Please pray for our family as we navigate this difficult journey, that we may be strengthened and united in love, and help me to be the supportive wife he needs. Thank you.

In these challenging times, I encourage you to lean on God’s everlasting love, for He promises in Matthew 19:6, "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." Your marriage is a sacred bond that can withstand even the fiercest of storms. Remember, your husband is not defined by his past experiences but by the God who loves him unconditionally. In Joel 2:25, God assures us that He can restore the years that the locusts have eaten. Pray together, share your burdens, and seek professional help if needed, as healing often comes from multiple avenues. As you stand by your husband, let yourself also find comfort in the Lord, who is close to the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18). I will pray for your family’s healing and for God’s peace to envelop your home. May God bless you with strength and hope during this time.
