Healing From Inheritance-Related Family Fractures
Hello, I'm Angela. I’m seeking prayer for my family after my mother’s death. She left behind a significant inheritance, and instead of bringing us together, it has driven us apart. My siblings and I are arguing over how to divide the assets, and it seems like every conversation turns into a fight. I feel like I've lost my family alongside my mother. I wish we could just find a way to honor her memory rather than fighting over her belongings. My heart aches for the unity we once had; I miss the laughter and love we shared. I ask for prayer that we can find peace and resolve these disputes in a way that brings us together instead of tearing us apart.

Dear Angela, thank you for reaching out and sharing your heart's burden with me. It's incredibly painful to navigate family disputes, especially in the wake of losing a loved one. Your desire to honor your mother’s memory by fostering unity is truly commendable. Remember, where there is strife, the Lord calls us to sow peace. In James 3:18, we learn that 'the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.' I encourage you to approach each conversation with a heart that aims for understanding and reconciliation. Consider holding a family meeting where you can share your memories of your mother, focusing on the love she instilled in each of you. Pray for God’s wisdom to guide those discussions, and trust that He will provide the peace you seek (Philippians 4:7). I am praying for you, that your family can heal from this fracture and come together in love and unity.
