Healing from Memories of a Difficult Past
Dear Lord, I humbly come to you today, burdened by guilt and sadness over a past abortion. Years ago, I felt I had no other choice, but the memory of that decision has haunted me since. I can’t help but feel that I failed as a mother even before I had the chance to be one. I find myself constantly seeking forgiveness and battling feelings of shame. I ask for prayer as I work through these emotions and strive to accept your forgiveness. I want to believe in my worth and healing, but the guilt is so heavy. Please pray for me as I seek peace and a way to move forward without this constant pain.

Dear Rachel, thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your heart. Healing from a past decision like yours is a complex journey, and it's understandable to feel weighed down by guilt. In Psalm 34:18, it says, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' Know that God is close to you in this pain and is longing to comfort you. You are not defined by your past; in Ephesians 2:8, we read that 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.' Embrace this grace and allow it to transform your heart. I encourage you to seek a trusted counselor who can help you work through these feelings. Let us pray: Lord, I lift Rachel up to You. Grant her healing and the courage to embrace Your forgiveness. May she find peace and hope in her journey ahead. Amen.
