Healing from Nicotine Addiction and Yearning for Freedom
Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m 30 years old and have been trying to quit smoking for over a year now. I know it’s affecting my health, and I want to be free from this addiction, but every time I try to quit, I find myself giving in again. I feel defeated and frustrated with myself. I’m reaching out for prayers to find strength and determination to overcome this addiction. I desire to live a healthier life and be a positive example for my younger siblings. Please pray that I find the support I need and that God gives me the strength to break this habit.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your struggle with nicotine addiction. It’s commendable that you desire to break free from this habit for your health and for your siblings. Remember that healing often requires patience and persistence. In Revelation 21:4, we are reminded that 'And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.' This includes the pain from addictions you face. Hold onto that promise as you take steps forward. Philipians 4:13 states, 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.' Lean into His strength during moments of temptation. I will be praying for your healing and your journey ahead. Lord, may You grant Lisa the courage and strength she needs to overcome her addiction and seek a healthier life. Amen.
