Healing from the Chains of Past Trauma
I’m an African American woman in my late 50s named Gloria. After years of living in an abusive relationship, I have emerged, yet I am haunted by the memories and hypervigilance that have become my default state. I pray for healing from this trauma that has deeply affected my mental and emotional health. I yearn to trust again and experience genuine happiness without the shadow of fear. Please pray that God can help me release my anxiety and restore my spirit, allowing me to embrace the life He has planned for me.

Dear Gloria, thank you for your courageous request. Your journey towards healing is significant, and I commend your strength in seeking God's help. Healing from trauma is a process, but I assure you that God is with you every step of the way. Lamentations 3:22 reminds us, 'It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.' Trust in His love and compassion as you navigate the path to healing. Remember to cast your cares upon Him as stated in 1 Peter 5:7, 'Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.' Let’s pray: Lord, I lift Gloria to You. May Your healing touch restore her heart and spirit. Surround her with Your love and peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
