Healing from the Loss of My Beloved Service Dog
I come to you with a heavy heart after the recent passing of my service dog, Daisy. She was my faithful companion for years, assisting me in ways I never thought possible. With her gone, I am struggling to cope. My world feels a lot darker and I feel functionally disabled without her support. It hurts to think about how I will manage daily tasks alone, and I find myself in tears over the simplest things. I’m asking for prayers for comfort during this time of loss and for the strength to overcome the challenges ahead. I am also hopeful for the future and the possibility of finding a new service dog, but that feels so distant right now.

Dear Michael, I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a service dog can feel like losing a part of ourselves, and it's completely normal to grieve deeply. As you navigate this pain, I encourage you to hold onto the hope that God provides us in times of trouble. 'Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning' (Psalm 30:5). God sees your struggles; He understands your grief and will comfort you in your affliction (2 Corinthians 1:4). It may take time, but trust that healing is on the horizon. Allow yourself to process this loss, and do not hesitate to reach out to your community for support. Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, I pray that You wrap Michael in Your love and help him through his grief. May he find solace in You and strength to move forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
