Healing from Trust Issues in Our Church Community
The recent situation with our church funds has left me feeling lost and unsure about where to place my trust. As a single mother, this church has been my support system, and now with this breach of trust, I feel so vulnerable. My children rely on the programs we offer, and it breaks my heart to see our community in turmoil. I am praying for healing within our church family and for God to restore the damage that has been done. I long for a time when we can come together again without the weight of suspicion. Please pray for my heart to heal and for our church leaders to take accountability and lead us back to a place of unity and faithfulness in God’s calling.
Pastor's Response
Pastor Robert Kim
Associate Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church
Dear Lisa, I can feel the weight of your concerns in your words, and I want to encourage you during this challenging time. It’s understandable to feel vulnerable and uncertain, but I believe God has a plan for healing amidst this chaos. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Often, God uses trials to strengthen and refine us, even when we cannot see the bigger picture. It’s crucial to remember that healing takes time, and God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18). I encourage you to lean on fellow members of our community for support, as we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we ask for Your healing touch on Lisa's heart and our church community. Help us to rebuild trust and unity. Amen.
