Healing Our Family Rift Over Inheritance
My name is Rachel, and I am writing to ask for prayer for my family. Following the death of my father, a serious rift has developed among us over his inheritance. What was once a close-knit family is now filled with resentment, accusations, and division. I am heartbroken to see my siblings turning against each other; it feels like we are losing our bond forever. I fear that the love we had for one another is being overshadowed by greed. Please pray for healing and reconciliation, that we can find a way to communicate honestly and lovingly about our father’s wishes. I believe that God can restore our family, but I also feel so overwhelmed by the situation. Pray for peace in our hearts and for wisdom in our conversations. Thank you for your support.

Dear Rachel, thank you for reaching out and sharing your heavy heart with us. It’s truly painful to witness family divisions, especially over something as sensitive as inheritance. However, I’d like to encourage you with the words of our Lord in Matthew 6:33, where He reminds us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. This situation, while challenging, can become an opportunity for growth if you all focus on spiritual health over material wealth. Remember also the wisdom of Proverbs 10:22, which states, 'The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.' Trust that God has a plan for restoration that doesn't depend on earthly possessions. As you pray, ask for guidance to approach your siblings with love and grace, as it says in Joshua 1:8, to meditate on His word and act according to it. Let’s pray together, asking the Lord for His peace to reign in your family and for hearts to be softened. Amen.
