Holding onto Hope After Our Loss
My husband and I recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of our baby during the late stages of my pregnancy. We were so excited to welcome our little one into the world, and now our home feels so empty. Each day feels heavier as we try to process our grief without answers. I find myself questioning why this happened to us and feeling a deep pain in my heart. It’s as if our dreams were shattered in an instant. Friends and family are supportive, but they cannot fill the void we feel. I’m asking for prayer to help us navigate this grief, to find comfort in our faith, and to eventually feel whole again. Please pray that we can lean on each other and God during this difficult time.

Dear Emily, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a child is one of the most profound griefs anyone can face, and your feelings of emptiness and confusion are completely valid. I want to encourage you with the truth that God is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 assures us, 'The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' In moments of sorrow, it can be hard to understand why things happen, but remember that God sees your pain. As you lean into Him, He promises to give you peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Take time to grieve and allow yourself to process your emotions. It’s okay to feel sad and even angry. Surround yourself with loving friends and family as you navigate this journey together. Trust that God holds your future in His hands. I will be praying for you and your husband as you seek comfort and healing during this time. May you feel His presence surrounding you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
