Hope for Healing Through Grief's Pain
Hello Pastor Robert, I'm reaching out because I am struggling with grief and its effects on my health. Just recently, my mother passed away after a long battle with illness. Watching her suffer was heartbreaking, and now that she is gone, I feel physically drained and emotionally fragile. The stress has led to migraines and chronic fatigue, and my doctor suggests I need to focus on managing my stress. I feel overwhelmed with everything—her funeral arrangements, sorting through her belongings, and just the everyday tasks that now seem monumental. I would appreciate any prayers for healing from this stress and guidance on how to cope with my loss. Thank you for your help.

Dear James, I am truly sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. It’s understandable that her loss has taken such a toll on you, both emotionally and physically. Remember that Jesus, in Matthew 11:28, invites those who are weary to come to Him for rest. Your burden is heavy, but He is there to lighten it. In the midst of your grief, focus on seeking moments of quiet and reflection, allowing God to comfort you. As it says in Romans 8:28, God works in all things for good, and while this season feels unbearable, trust that He will bring healing and peace to your heart. I want to encourage you to take it one day at a time. Let’s pray: Father, I lift up James to You. Grant him peace and healing as he navigates this painful journey. Amen.
