Hope for My Father's Salvation Pre-Surgery
My father is facing major surgery soon, and it weighs heavily on my heart. Throughout my life, he has rejected the idea of faith and has never shown interest in God. I am filled with fear at the thought of him possibly not making it through the surgery. The thought that he might leave this world without knowing Christ breaks my heart. I want him to experience the peace and hope that comes with salvation, but I am unsure of how to reach him. Please pray that God softens his heart and opens his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, especially in this critical time. I am asking for prayers for my father’s salvation and for him to be receptive to God’s love.

Dear Lisa, your heartache is palpable, and I want to thank you for your courageous vulnerability in sharing your burden. It is a difficult place to be, feeling a sense of urgency for a loved one’s salvation. In situations like this, we must remember the faithfulness of God. As stated in John 10:10, 'I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.' God desires for your father to experience the fullness of life in Him. As you pray for him, trust that God’s grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9) and that He can reach into any situation. Be encouraged by the fact that God can use this surgery as an opportunity to bring your father to faith. Continue to love on him and share your hope with gentleness and respect. I will be praying for your father and believing for a breakthrough in his life. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we lift Lisa’s father up to You, asking for Your Spirit to touch his heart and bring him to salvation before this surgery. Amen.
