Hope for My Hostile Adult Son
Lord, I come to You today asking for help with my son, who has abandoned his faith and is now aggressive in his disbelief. It feels like a wall has built up between us, and I often find myself at a loss for words when he lashes out at the very beliefs I hold dear. I pray for his heart to be softened and for him to find peace within himself. Help me to be a source of love and understanding despite the hostility. I long for the days when we could share our faith and hopes together. Please guide me and give me the words to speak when I feel overwhelmed. Amen.

Dear David, thank you for your honest and heartfelt prayer request. It’s clear that your love for your son remains steadfast despite the challenges you're facing. It’s essential to remember that God is always working, even when we can’t see it. Romans 6:23 reminds us that 'the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.' This gift is for your son as well. Keep praying for his heart to change, and trust that God will bring opportunities for you to share your faith gently with him. As he sees your unwavering love, it may stir curiosity and reflection in his heart. Remember, God can turn hostility into hope, as He has done with so many before. Let’s pray for your son together. Lord, we ask that You reach into David’s son’s life and soften his spirit. May he find truth and peace in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
