Hope for My Son Lost in Cult Beliefs
My son has become a member of a cult that actively rejects the teachings of Christ. I am heartbroken as I watch him fall further away from the faith he once embraced. He has closed himself off from discussions about Jesus and dismisses prayer altogether. I feel an overwhelming sense of loss, as if he’s no longer the boy I raised. I am asking for prayer to help me find the right words to reach him, to remind him of the love of Jesus and the freedom found in the gospel. Please pray for my son’s heart to be softened and for God to bring him back home to His truth.

Laura, I can only imagine the pain you must be feeling as you watch your son turn from the truth of the gospel. It can be incredibly tough to see a child caught in beliefs that lead them away from Christ. Remember that God loves your son even more than you do. In Ephesians 2:9, we are reminded that our salvation is not of works, and your son needs to understand that grace is a gift. Pray diligently, and trust in Romans 10:9, which assures us that proclaiming and believing in Jesus can lead to salvation. Continue to model the love of Christ in your interactions with him, as our actions can often speak louder than words. God can pierce through the darkness and bring him back to the truth. Let us pray: 'Heavenly Father, I pray for Laura’s son. Open his eyes to Your truth and bring him back to You. Amen.'
