Hoping for Employment After a Long Dry Spell

Hello, I am Linda, a 45-year-old woman who has been unemployed for several months after my company closed its doors. I have been diligently searching for new job opportunities, but I often feel invisible and overlooked. My savings are dwindling, and I fear that I won't be able to provide for my elderly parents who rely on me. I've reached out to friends and family for support, but I don’t want to be a burden. I’m asking for prayer that I find employment soon, and that God gives me the strength to keep pushing forward even when the days seem dark.

Senior Pastor, Bethel Church

Dear Linda, I want to encourage you during this challenging time. It sounds incredibly difficult to carry the weight of your concerns for both yourself and your parents. Know that your feelings are valid, and God is compassionate toward those who are hurting. In Psalms 37:25, it is written, 'I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.' Trust that God will not forsake you; He sees your hard work and faithfulness. In Luke 16:10, we are reminded that 'He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.' Your perseverance will lead to God’s blessings. Continue to seek opportunities, but also take heart in knowing that God is working behind the scenes in ways you may not yet understand. I pray for doors to open for you and that you receive the encouragement you need to keep pressing on. Let’s pray for a breakthrough in your job search and that you feel the love and support of those around you.
