In Need of Employment After Sudden Layoff
Hi, I’m Miguel, and I’m 52 years old. I was laid off from my job in logistics only a month ago, and it has hit me hard. I’ve spent years building a career, and now I feel like I’m starting from scratch. The bills are starting to worry me, and I'm struggling to maintain my usual level of faith through this all. I try to remind myself of God’s promises, but it's hard when I see my savings dwindling. Please pray for guidance and for God to lead me to new opportunities. I need that reassurance that everything will be okay.

Dear Miguel, thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I can sense the weight of your situation, and it’s completely understandable to feel unsettled after such a sudden change. Remember that God is always present, even in our darkest moments. In Psalms 34:18, it tells us, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' Lean into this promise as you navigate your feelings. It’s important to stay hopeful; God can make ways where we see none. Consider Philippians 4:13, which reminds us, 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.' Trust in your skills and abilities, and maintain a prayerful heart as you seek new employment. God will direct your steps if you allow Him to lead you. I’ll be praying for your peace of mind and for new opportunities to come your way.
