Longing for Discipline in Bible Reading
Hello, I am asking for prayer because I long to develop a disciplined Bible reading habit but often feel defeated. I understand the importance of immersing myself in God’s Word, but I struggle to maintain a steady routine. Whenever I miss a day, I feel a deep sense of shame and disappointment in myself. I want to grow spiritually, but this inconsistency holds me back. Please pray that I can find the strength to prioritize my time with God and build a meaningful connection through Scripture. I desire to not just read the Bible, but to let it transform my life and guide my actions.

Dear Rachel, thank you for being so open about your struggles. It takes a lot of courage to admit when we are feeling defeated, and I want to remind you that God’s grace covers us in our weaknesses. In Jeremiah 29:11, God tells us that He has plans for us, and those plans are filled with hope. Your desire for a deeper relationship with Him is beautiful, and it’s important to remember that He is always ready to meet you where you are. Focus on creating small, achievable goals for your Bible reading so that you can build momentum without feeling overwhelmed. Remember Philippians 1:6, 'Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.' God is at work in your life! Let’s pray: Lord, I lift Rachel up to You, asking that she find the strength and discipline to seek You through Your Word each day. May her heart be encouraged as she embarks on this journey. Amen.
