Longing for Joy and Passion in Ministry Training
In my journey as a seminary student, I have hit a wall. The joy I once had for learning and growing in my faith feels like a distant memory. I start each day with a sense of dread instead of anticipation, and I find that my passion for ministry is waning. I miss the joy of serving others and the thrill of sharing my faith. I am asking for prayer to help restore that joy and passion, to feel a renewed sense of purpose as I continue my studies, and to remember why I chose this path.

Joshua, I appreciate your vulnerability in sharing your feelings of weariness and loss of joy. It’s important to recognize that periods like this can often lead to significant growth in our faith. In Romans 8:28, we are reminded that all things work together for good to them that love God. Even this challenging phase can be a stepping stone toward a future filled with purpose. I encourage you to engage in activities that remind you of the core of your calling, such as volunteering in your community or participating in a prayer group. God is faithful, and Isaiah 40:31 assures us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength and soar like eagles. Let’s pray together for the restoration of your joy and purpose as you navigate these challenging times.
