Longing for My Elderly Neighbor's Salvation
For years, I've lived next door to Mrs. Jenkins, an elderly widow who radiates kindness. We often chat while gardening or during her evening walks. She has shared stories about her life, but I've never heard her express faith in Christ. My heart aches for her, especially as I see her health declining. I believe she needs to know the hope of salvation that Christ offers. I often feel inadequate to share the gospel with her, worried that I might overstep or ruin our friendship. Please pray that I find the right words and that the Holy Spirit would soften her heart to receive the truth of Jesus. I want to see Mrs. Jenkins embrace the gift of eternal life through God’s grace. Pray for courage and clarity as I approach this sensitive subject.

Dear Emily, thank you for your heartfelt prayer request. It’s evident that you deeply care for Mrs. Jenkins and her spiritual well-being. The desire to share the gospel is a beautiful expression of love and concern. Remember, you’re not alone in this; God has placed you in her life for a purpose. In John 3:16, we are reminded that 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' That promise is for Mrs. Jenkins too! Pray for God to give you the right opportunities to speak about your faith naturally during your conversations. You can also invite her to church activities or small gatherings where she can hear others share their testimonies. In Ephesians 2:8, it says, 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.' Approach this gently and with love, and trust that God will work in her heart. Let us pray together for her salvation and for your courage to share His love. May the Lord guide your steps and your words.
