Longing for My Father's Salvation Before He Passes

My father has been diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer, and the doctors have given him only a few months to live. Growing up, I always admired his strength, but faith was never part of our lives. Recently, I have felt a pressing need to share the gospel with him, but every time I bring it up, he shuts down and changes the subject. I believe he needs Jesus now more than ever, yet I fear he may leave this world without knowing the hope of salvation. I ask for prayer that God would give me the right words and the courage to speak to my dad about Christ. More than anything, I want to see him saved and experience eternal life.
