Longing for My Neighbor's Salvation
I have a neighbor named Ms. Thompson, an older woman who lives alone. Although she seems to be comfortable, I can see that she carries a deep sadness. We've had a few conversations, and I know that she has lost loved ones over the years, leading her to question her faith. I feel a burden to share Jesus with her, but I am hesitant because of her past experiences. I am asking for prayers that God would give me courage and sensitivity to speak to her about salvation. I pray that she would be open to hearing about Christ and that God would work in her heart, helping her find joy and hope even in her grief.

Dear Michael, thank you for your heartfelt request regarding Ms. Thompson. It’s evident that you care for her well-being, and your desire to share the hope of Christ with her is commendable. The Lord calls us to help those in need and to be a light in their darkness (Matthew 5:16). Understandably, approaching someone with such a sensitive history can seem daunting, but remember that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Your kindness and patience will be crucial in this journey. As you continue to build your relationship with her, pray for opportunities to share the comfort of Christ with her, as 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us that God is the 'Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.' Let us pray: Lord, I ask that You give Michael the courage and wisdom to reach out to Ms. Thompson, guiding their conversations towards salvation and Your everlasting hope. Amen.
