Longing for My Partner to Know Christ's Love
I have been with my partner for many years, and I often find myself crying out to God for him to experience the joy of salvation. He sees church as a place of judgment and not of grace. I try to show him the love of Jesus in my actions, but it feels like a constant battle. There are days when I am filled with hope, and others when despair sets in. I often ask myself if I’m doing enough. I pray that God would touch his heart and help him see the beauty of a relationship with Christ. I fear losing him if he never chooses to believe. Please pray with me that he finds faith and hope in the Lord.
Pastor's Response
Pastor David Chen
Senior Pastor, Grace Community Church
Dear David, your concern for your partner's salvation speaks volumes about your love and commitment. It’s encouraging to see how you are seeking to embody Christ’s love through your actions. Remember, salvation comes through no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), and it is His desire to draw all men to Himself (John 12:32). Continue to be that light in his life; your patience and love can be a powerful testimony. While it’s natural to feel concerned, remember that God works in His timing. Trust Him with your partner’s heart and your relationship. Let’s pray: Lord, we lift up David and his partner. May the seeds of faith planted in his heart grow into a deep and abiding faith in You. Amen.
