Longing for My Trucking Community to Know Christ
Being a part of the trucking community has its unique challenges, especially when it comes to discussing faith. I notice that many of my fellow truckers seem to be lost, caught up in the fast pace of life without realizing the emptiness of it all. I feel a deep longing for them to experience the joy and hope that comes with knowing Christ. I often pray for their souls and think about ways I might engage them in conversations about faith. Please pray for me that I will find the right avenues to share the Gospel, that I will be sensitive to their needs, and that God will soften their hearts to receive His truth.

Dear Derek, your heart for your trucking community is a precious aspect of your journey. It’s evident that God has placed a burden on you to reach out to those around you. Remember that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). You are in a unique position to be a witness among your peers. As you seek to engage them in conversation about faith, look for common ground and opportunities to share your own story of how Christ has changed your life. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 6:23 that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Be encouraged that every discussion you have may not lead to immediate transformation, but your faithfulness to plant seeds can lead to eternal change. Trust in the process and in God’s timing. I will pray that He helps you find the right words and opportunities to share His love. May God bless your efforts and keep your heart steadfast in this mission. Amen.
