Longing for Peace During My Child's Struggle
I write this with a heavy heart as my young daughter battles schizophrenia. It feels as if we are living in a nightmare that we can’t wake up from. Her episodes are unpredictable and frightening; sometimes I barely recognize her anymore. My heart breaks for her innocent spirit and the joy that she has lost. Our family has been torn apart by worry, and I am desperate for peace and healing. I pray every day, but sometimes doubt creeps in, and I’m left feeling hopeless. Please pray for my daughter’s healing and for our family to find peace and strength to support her.

Dear Tina, I can sense the depth of your sorrow through your words, and I want you to know that your feelings are valid. It’s incredibly challenging to witness a loved one in pain. In these moments, remember that God is a refuge for the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18). He sees your suffering and the struggles your family faces. In Isaiah 53:5, we are assured that by His stripes, we are healed. Hold onto that hope for your daughter’s healing. Surround yourself with supportive individuals, and don’t hesitate to lean on your faith community. Let’s pray for healing for your daughter and divine strength for you and your family. Together, we can trust that peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
