Longing for Peace from Anxiety When Apart
My name is Marco, a 39-year-old husband and father struggling with overwhelming separation anxiety. Each time my wife and children leave for the day, I experience a deep, paralyzing fear that grips my heart. I often find myself overthinking and imagining the worst-case scenarios, which only heightens my anxiety. I feel trapped by these thoughts and yearn for God’s peace to fill my heart and mind. I humbly ask for prayers to overcome these feelings and the strength to trust in God’s protection over my family when we are apart. I want to learn to enjoy my time alone and grow in my faith even through these challenges.

Dear Marco, thank you for being honest about your struggles. It takes courage to share your fears. Remember, God is with you and your family, even in your times of separation. Isaiah 26:3 tells us that He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him. Trust is key. Also, reflect on the promise found in Psalm 91:1 regarding sheltering under God's wings, which indicates His protection over you and your loved ones. I encourage you to engage in prayer and scripture as tools to combat anxiety. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I lift Marco up to You, asking for your peace to settle in his heart and for him to trust in Your protection. Amen.
