Longing for Spiritual Connection with My Partner
Every Sunday, I go to church alone, and it often feels like a weight on my heart. My partner respects my faith but chooses not to participate. I find myself yearning for their companionship in worship and for moments of prayer together. There are times I feel selfish for wanting them to believe as I do, yet it’s hard to suppress the sadness I feel when I experience spiritual moments alone. I want to share my faith journey but fear it might push them further away. Please pray for guidance on how to approach this topic with love and patience, and for a miracle in their heart to open up to God’s truth.

Dear Samantha, thank you for sharing your heart. It’s a natural desire to wish to share your faith with those we love, and it can be painful when there seems to be a barrier. Your feelings are valid, and it’s essential to approach this with grace. Ephesians 4:2 encourages us to be humble and gentle, bearing with one another in love. While you desire spiritual companionship, remember that God’s timing is perfect. Continue to live your faith authentically, allowing your actions to speak of His love. As Joel 2:25 promises, God can restore the years that the locust has eaten; He is capable of softening hearts. Pray earnestly, trusting that He is at work even when you cannot see it. I will keep you both in my prayers, asking for peace and opportunities to share your faith in ways that invite rather than push away.
