Losing Faith Amid Financial Hardship
Hi Pastor Angela, I'm reaching out because I'm struggling with my faith due to ongoing financial difficulties. I lost my job a few months ago, and despite my efforts, the situation hasn’t improved. I’m feeling overwhelmed and scared about the future. I used to find peace in prayer, but lately, it feels like my prayers are going unanswered. I just want to provide for my family again and feel secure. Please pray for renewed hope and faith, and that I might find a way out of this financial despair.

Dear Maria, thank you for your honesty in sharing your struggles. It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed in your situation. Remember that our Lord is acutely aware of your needs. In Matthew 6:33, we are reminded to 'seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.' This means that God is aware of your circumstances and desires to bless you. Hold onto Psalm 34:18, which says, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' You are not forgotten, and God is with you in your pain. I encourage you to continue seeking Him, perhaps through scripture and fellowship, as these can provide the hope and comfort you long for. I will pray earnestly that God opens doors for employment and restores your faith in His provision. May you feel His love surrounding you as you navigate this challenging time.
