My Heart Breaks for My Aging Friend's Salvation
I have a dear friend, Nora, who is in her late 70s. She has been like a sister to me, and we share countless memories together. Recently, I’ve felt a pressing burden for her soul. She often speaks about her health concerns and the uncertainty of life, but never about faith or what lies beyond. My heart is heavy knowing that she doesn’t seem to have a personal relationship with Christ. I fear that time is running out for her to accept the gospel. I’m asking for prayer that I can gently guide her toward Jesus. I want to find the right moments to share my faith in a way that resonates with her. Please pray for her salvation and for clarity in my conversations with her.

Dear Samantha, thank you for your heartfelt prayer for Nora. It’s clear that you love her dearly and want to see her come to know Christ. God places people in our lives for a reason, and your friendship is a testament to His love. In Romans 6:23, we read, 'For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.' This truth is essential for Nora to know, especially as she reflects on life and mortality. Continue to be a source of light in her life and let your love for Christ shine through your actions and conversations. As you seek those moments to talk about faith, remember that 'The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise' (Proverbs 11:30). Pray for guidance and sensitivity as you navigate these discussions. I’ll join you in prayer for Nora’s heart to open to the gospel. May God grant you the wisdom and courage to share His love with her.
