My Heart is Heavy for My Daughter's Struggles
I’m seeking prayer for my 17-year-old daughter, Sarah, who has been battling severe depression. Ever since she was bullied in school, her self-esteem has plummeted, and she often isolates herself. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see her suffer and feel powerless to help her. I want her to know how much she is loved and valued, but it feels like there’s a wall between us. I ask for prayers for her healing and for me to find the right words and actions to support her. I also pray that she opens up to me and lets me in on her struggles.

Linda, thank you for sharing your burden with us. It’s evident that you love Sarah deeply and want to guide her through this turmoil. Remember, in times of distress, we can turn to God, who knows our pain. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord assures us, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' Your daughter is treasured in God’s eyes. I encourage you to consistently remind her of her worth and to be patient as she navigates her emotions. 1 Corinthians 13:4 reminds us that love is patient and kind, essential in these moments. Pray together, if she is open, and invite her to share her feelings when she feels ready. Let’s pray: Father, I lift Sarah up to You, asking for healing and restoration in her heart. Help Linda to be a comforting presence in her life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
