Navigating a Crisis of Faith in Seminary
I’ve been pursuing ministry through seminary studies, but I’ve hit an incredibly low point in my faith. My enthusiasm has dwindled, and I struggle to find meaning in my studies. I feel like I’m going through the motions without really connecting with God. I miss the joy I once felt in learning about scripture and serving others. I need prayer to help me overcome this crisis of faith and to rediscover my passion for God and His work. I desire to feel uplifted and renewed in my spiritual journey.

Dear Michael, thank you for reaching out during this difficult time. It’s essential to acknowledge when we feel disconnected from our faith. In moments like these, it is vital to remember John 14:27, where Jesus says, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' God’s peace is a balm for our weary souls. I encourage you to seek that peace through prayer and to be open about your struggles with trusted mentors. Remember, your faith can grow even through these trials; as Romans 5:3-4 says, 'And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope.' Take each day as an opportunity to seek Him, trusting that He hears your heart. Let’s pray for renewed faith and an awakening of your passion for ministry.
