Navigating Career Changes: Feeling Overwhelmed
I’m a 35-year-old woman named Lisa, and I’m facing a significant career change. After working in the corporate world for years, I’ve decided to follow my passion for teaching, but the transition feels daunting. I’m terrified that I won’t succeed or that I won’t find a job in education. The financial implications of going back to school and the uncertainty of the job market weigh heavily on my mind. I’ve been praying for direction, but I still feel lost. I’m asking for prayer that I can embrace this change with faith and trust that God will provide for me as I pursue this new path.

Dear Lisa, stepping into something new can indeed be overwhelming, but I commend you for courageously pursuing your passion for teaching. Remember that God is with you every step of the way. In Colossians 3:23, we are reminded, 'And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.' When you commit your efforts to the Lord, He will guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). The fear of uncertainty is natural, but take heart in knowing that God is your provider. As you prepare for this transition, seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33) and trust that He will open doors for you. I pray that as you embark on this new journey, you will find peace in His presence and clarity in your decisions. May your heart be filled with confidence as you pursue the work He has called you to do.
